Overview

Supporting Parents with Intellectual Disabilities is a new resource that examines the unique challenges parents with intellectual disabilities face, and reviews federal and state law regarding the rights of parents with intellectual disabilities. This training also outlines concrete strategies that providers across early childhood disciplines (early intervention, home visiting, child welfare, child care, and early childhood education) can use to provide respectful, individualized support to parents with intellectual disabilities.
